I am “Reflexology with Annie”
Q: What Therapies do you offer and how did you come to choose them?
I became “Reflexology with Annie” in 2006 whilst caring for my terminally ill husband who sadly died in 2007. For 10 years foot & hand Reflexology was my only therapy and I wasn’t looking for any more strings to my bow.
However, in 2016 I stumbled across Emmett Technique, and it has changed my life path dramatically. Initially, I learnt Emmett for people to practitioner level. Ross Emmett encourages practitioners to do an introductory Emmett 4 Animals course, because working with animals enhances your observation skills, and that feeds back into working more effectively with people. (Very evident in the work I do in a special needs environment). So, I did an introductory course for dogs (because I own a dog) and a short course for horses (At this point, my only experience of horses was from the other side of the fence! ) To cut a long story short, I am now an Emmett 4 Dogs practitioner and an Advanced Emmett practitioner 4 horses.
The photo that accompanies this post is of me attempting to give Snoopy an Emmett treatment. An old friend, she was demanding reflexology and we had to do a deal, reflexology first, then Emmett! The important lesson being, always listen to what your client wants!
